Requirements for Clinical Training Workshops
Once an individual has successfully passed a minimum of four educational modules with post test assessments, and received the appropriate Advanced Practicum Certificates of Completion, they will become eligible for a clinical workshop training opportunity. The required educational courses can be selected from disease state modules in GI, liver, or both. Potential candidates will also be required to be a graduate from an accredited NP or PA school before serious consideration for a workshop opportunity.

Qualified and interested candidates will apply by selecting a preferred location for a clinical workshop from a list of participating institutions and complete an application, which will be forwarded by Focus Medical Communications (FMC) to the target institution for review and consideration. All communications with the target institutions about a potential clinical training workshop will be handled by staff from FMC until acceptance of the candidate by the institution, at which time the candidate will be provided with information for a contact person at the accepting institution.

Most clinical training workshops will involve clinical rotations in GI, liver or both and last from 1-4 weeks in duration. The final details relating to actual clinical rotation, timing, and financial arrangements will be worked out between the candidate and participating institution. In most cases, the participant will be expected to pay their own living and transportation expenses related to the clinical training workshop.
